Blown By Every Wind

In the spring time in New Mexico, the winds are wild! Dirt, trash, and debris fly all around making the landscape nasty!

Coming back from the grocery story today I witnessed this fun little parade!

It is the kind of thing you see in Looney Toon cartoons but, it is a way of life here in New Mexico.

Seeing this little parade reminded me of the passage from Ephesians 4:14:

"Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming."

Paul warns earlier that we need to be equipped and mature in our faith so that we won’t be blown around by the wind of teaching from those who would lead us astray.

We need to remember there are people who want us to be blown around like tumbleweeds chasing all the philosophy’s of our day instead of being rooted in the truth of Jesus Christ.

The video didn’t show it, but as traffic started going, one of the tumbleweeds was crushed to smithereens! That is what can happen when we chase that which is false.

So, don’t be a tumbleweed. Be rooted in truth by knowing and studying the Word of God.
