I recently started on the journey of getting a real estate license. I looked at the coursework, created a plan for being able to accomplish it and got going! I started out really strong and pretty consistent. Then, I allowed my consistency to fluctuate. A couple days ago, I realized, instead of being able to complete one class a month, I had to complete both before the middle of April.
Needless to say I was in a panic!
As a result, I’ve had to put in a few hard study days in order to catch up to complete the first class. After doing that, I will have to put in the same intensive effort to complete the second one.
I learned from this situation how important it is to be consistent. Had I stuck with my plan and been ruthless about accomplishing my goals a little bit at a time, I wouldn’t be in such a mad scramble to finish before the weekend. Sometimes we tend to underestimate consistency. We find consistency boring. But the reality is, in order to accomplish any sort of big goals we need to be consistent.
How can you be more consistent in achieving your goals?
